The History of The Clan Lundy, Lundie, Lundin. One of the most ancient families of the Kingdom of Scotland
As most people who are interested in the history of this family will have found, up until recently very little has been written by historians upon the Lundy, Lundie, Lundin family.
This is suprising as the Lairds of Lundin and associated family members have played an important role in Scottish history - from the wars of independance with England, to the reformation of the Church - from guardian to the King, to Governors of a number of Scotland's great fortresses- from Lord High Treasurer, to Ambasadors to the Crown.
However, although not much had been written, a strong record of this family still exists in various first hand sources and archives.
This book, in 518 pages, records the history of the family in more detail that has ever been compiled before, from the tenth century to the present day.
